Payroll Deduction Helps Fuel CU CharityDrive

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - (07/27/05) -- Automatic payroll deduction at FirstSouth CU helped push the credit union's annual charity drive to newlevels. The payroll deduction helped the credit union raise $5,500from employees for the benefit of St. Jude Children's ResearchHospital. For the first time, credit union employees were able toapprove an automatic deduction, typically $1 a month, to go to thecharity fund. Employees also participated in several fundraisers,such as the Have a Heart campaign or lollipop sale.
