Pennsylania's CUs Roll Out Statewide Billboard Campaign

More than 225 billboards across Pennsylvania will call on consumers this month to "Use A Credit Union-The Smarter Choice," as part of the Pennsylvania CU Association's statewide advertising campaign. The billboards will feature three different designs: one surrounding a young graduate; another with a woman being handed her own car keys; and a third with a family of four at the front door of their new home. The ad campaign will also include 2,500 radio and TV spots. About 275 credit unions have contributed to the $157,000 cost of the ad campaign, which will run through the month of October, Internal CU Month. Diane Powell, public relation specialist for the Association, told The Credit Union Journal the ads will be targeted in those markets served by participating credit unions.
