Pentagon FCU Foundation To RenovateHospice For Soldiers' Families

WASHINGTON - (04/10/06) -- Pentagon FCU said its charitablePentagon FCU Foundation has agreed to contribute $200,000 torenovate space in Walter Reed Army Medical Center for to housefamily members of terminally ill soldiers. The renovation willallow terminally ill soldiers to stay with their families whileremaining close to medical care. The Foundation's contribution wasnecessary because plans call for the closure of the hospital overthe next five or six years and rules prohibit federal funding fornew construction at the sites.
