DUBUQUE, Iowa - (11/22/04) -- DuTrac Community CU has become oneof the first financial institutions in the country to pilot a newtool aimed at curbing check fraud. PINCheck, provided by DesMoinses-baded PINCheck LC, helps thwart identity theft throughchecks by requiring a personal identification number when someonepresents a check. PINCheck will use a national database of PINswhich will be linked to individuals' checking accounts.
