CUNA Mutual Expands In PR

MADISON, Wis.-CUNA Mutual Group subsidiary MEMBERS Financial Services has expanded into Puerto Rico.

The move marks the first time CUNA Mutual Group will offer its MEMBERS Financial Services products and services to credit unions outside of the United States. Legislation enacted in Puerto Rico in late 2002 requires credit unions to offer financial planning services.

MEMBERS Financial Services offers financial planning, along with brokerage services, MEMBERS Mutual Funds, MEMBERS Variable Annuity, MEMBERS Fixed Annuity, MEMBERS Variable Universal Life, and MEMBERS Term and Whole Life products.

The commonwealth has 140 credit unions that serve more than one-million people ach of the four MEMBERS Financial Services representatives hired so far are native Puerto Ricans who were trained in Madison, Wis. and Waverly, Iowa. The program will be based in San Juan.

Alaska USA Mortgage To Seattle

FEDERAL WAY, Wash.-Alaska USA Mortgage Co. has opened an office here. The CUSO is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alaska USA FCU, Anchorage, Alaska.

The new location is headed by Senior Loan Originator Jeanne Rogers, who has 28 years experience in the real estate industry. The credit union said the new Federal Way office, together with Alaska USA's Real Estate Telephone Loan Center, serves the real estate and mortgage lending needs of residents in the Seattle area.

Bank2Business Interface Expands

ST. CLOUD, Minn-Bankers Systems, Inc., (BSI) said it has expanded its relationship with Baker Hill to offer Bank2Business customers an interface with BSI's Rembrandt Lending System.

The new interface allows credit unions to further automate the documentation of their small business loans. Bank2Business is the second Baker Hill solution to offer access to Rembrandt Lending.

OnePoint, Baker Hill's business banking relationship management platform, also offers a Rembrandt Lending interface.
