COCC Debuts Image Exchange

AVON, Conn.-Connecticut Online Computer Center (COCC) has designed an image exchange strategy to make the most of the Check 21 legislation, the firm said. COCC said its strategy is based on forging alliances with the major image exchanges and implementing custom software that distributes check images to the most efficient exchange "endpoint." The company recently announced its alliance with the Endpoint Exchange Network and the National Clearing House.

The company claims the typical financial institution could reduce its check collection fees by as much as 50% while increasing the next-day availability of funds by an estimated 90%.

Corp Central, JPMorgan In deal

HALES CORNERS, Wis.-Corporate Central Credit Union launched a new item processing service to member credit unions in collaboration with JPMorgan Treasury Services, a subsidiary of $1.1-trillion JP Morgan Chase & Co. "Adding JPMorgan's breadth of technology and capabilities into our family of Item Processing services makes good business sense," said Corporate Central CEO Robert W. Fouch. "Having offered Item Processing for the past 13 years, we have seen many changes in the check processing industry. However, advancing technology, providing best-in-class services, while keeping costs low continue to be key drivers."
