CenCorp Hosts Check 21 Webinar

SOUTHFIELD, Mich-Central Corporate Credit Union (CenCorp) hosted a Check 21 webinar for about 300 credit union representatives. Joe Baressi, an attorney with the Federal Reserve, discussed the Check 21 Act and the changes to Regulation CC that were announced by the Fed. Brenda Washington, VP-operations with CenCorp, presented a Check 21 Implementation Checklist and related collateral material that had been created by CenCorp. Corp. One Transmits 1st Images

COLUMBUS, Ohio-Corporate One FCU reported it has transmitted and accepted its first set of check images to and from the Endpoint Exchange Network during a test of its new electronic deposit automation solution. "Corporate One's partnership with the Endpoint Exchange Network will enable its member credit unions to clear their check-based transactions by exchanging check images between other participating financial institutions, liminating the need to physically transport items around the country," the corporate said.

Corp. Central Debuts Premier Acct.

HALES CORNERS, Wis.-Corporate Central Credit Union has introduced the Premier Investment Account, a self-directed managed account for credit unions to allocate funds between settlement, investment and loan accounts. The account is designed for credit unions to take advantage of their sophistication in investing and ALM knowledge, providing the opportunity to maximize their yield on short-term funds, the corporate said, adding, "Since the responsibility of managing the account is on the credit union, the gain in basis points will be substantial."

GCCU, MY CU Services Partner

DULUTH, Ga.-Georgia Central Credit Union has partnered with MY CU Services, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mid-Atlantic Corporate, to offer Electronic Bill Payment (EBP) to Georgia Central's member credit unions. Under the agreement, Georgia Central will market EBP to its member CUs, which are located throughout the state of Georgia. Credit unions that sign up for the service will utilize MY CU Services for back-end processing and the remittance of payments. Georgia Central is the ninth corporate to partner with MY CU Services, LLC for EBP services.
