RIVERSIDE, Calif. - (10/05/04) -- Riverside County's CU said it hasshed its geographic boundaries and expects to ascend under a newname, Altura CU. The new name, means to evoke the altitude, wasintroduced to the community through billboards and other localmedia. The name is aimed at shedding the $500 million creditunion's regional identity and aligning it more with the fivemillion people in southern California it is now authorized toserve. The credit union also changed the names of its two CUSOs,Anthem Insurance and RCCU Mortgage, to Patrion Insurance andPatrion Mortgage.
