SECU Adds A Personal Touch At 860 ATMs

State Employees Credit Union has added that personal touch to its 860 Cash Point ATMs, offering members a greeting upon entering their card and a "thank you" for their business once the transaction is complete.

The new program, called MY SECU, also allows members to choose their own personal identification numbers anytime and at any of the participating machines.

"With the implementation of MY SECU, we're hoping to make the visit to our Cash Points ATMs a more pleasant and efficient experience," said Leanne Phelps, SVP of Card and Record Services at SECU. "For the first time in SECU history, members are able to choose their own PIN. We want them to feel comfortable using their ATM network."

She said the new PIN feature came in response to member requests.

Other changes give members the option of choosing to withdraw funds from checking, share or money market accounts in select amounts of $20, $40, $60, $80, $100 or $200.

They can choose whether or not to receive a receipt and program the machine to "always" or "never" ask that question again.

Members can also choose English or Spanish as their preferred language.

As an added benefit to members, Phelps said SECU offers "no surcharge" ATMS throughout its FOM, including at least one in every one of its North Carolina counties.

SECU is the second largest CU in the United States with more than $12 billion in assets, 1.2 million members and 190 branches.
