Security Service FCU Joins AffordableHousing Program

SAN ANTONIO - (11/02/05) -- Security Service FCU announced itwill offer below-rate mortgages to eligible first-time homebuyersunder CUNA's new affordable housing program. The credit union saidit has committed $25 million to the Home Loan Payment Reliefprogram, called 'helper'. Under the program, Security Service willprovide 3-in-1 adjustable-rate mortgages to eligible low- andmoderate-income homebuyers. CUNA said more than 60 credit unionsaround the country have committed to making $1 billion in homeloans under the program.
