Shared Branches ProvideRefuge

ATLANTA - (09/09/05) -- CU Service Corporation said thatdisplaced members of Jefferson Parish Employees FCU (Jefferson,La.), Keesler FCU (Biloxi, Miss.) and Sewage and Water BoardEmployees FCU (New Orleans) can now access to their accountsthrough shared branching at locations nationwide after HurricaneKatrina disabled branches and member access points. "We want to doanything we can to help these credit unions effectively serve theirmembers during this extraordinary crisis," said Carroll Beach,president/CEO of CUSC. Kessler FCU had already been live with CUSC;Jefferson Parish EFCU had been in the process of making the move toparticipating in shared branching, and Sewage and Water Board EFCUmade a decision to go with shared branching on Sept. 6.
