At the same time Kathy Scholl of Jeep Country FCU was telling The Credit Union Journal that a policeman in the branch has made the branch safer, two masked gunmen preparing to rob University of Toledo-Medical College of Ohio FCU last week ran off after a Toledo police officer drew his weapon on them. The suspects tried to enter the CU around 9:30 am but were unsuccessful as the inner doors were locked. When they saw the police officer approaching they pointed their guns at him but ran off when he drew his gun. The suspects fled in a stolen Buick Riviera, which was later recovered.
