SunCorp To Mark Its Silver Anniversary

SunCorp Corporate CU is marking its 25th birthday. "SunCorp has reached significant milestones over the years and we look forward to achieving even more in the next 25 years," said SunCorp CEO Eric Kenealy, Founded in 1978 as Colorado Corporate, in 1979 it merged with Wyoming Corporate Central FCU, the first-ever corporate CU merger. At its founding SunCorp had $20,000 in assets and three employees; today it's at $3 billion and 120 employees. It serves 540 credit unions. The corporate merged with Rocky Mountain Corporate Credit Union in 2001, merged with Nebraska Corporate in 2002, purchased the Colorado league's item processing business, and has launched electronic payments capabilities. To mark its 25th anniversary, SunCorp entrusted its advertising agency, Denver-based Amelie Co,, to create a special "25 Years of Service" emblem.
