More CUs Select Open Solutions

FORT WORTH, Texas-The $1-billion OmniAmerican Credit Union selected Glastonbury, Conn.-based Open Solutions Inc. to handle all transactions and integration processes for its more than 241,000 members nationwide.

"As a leading, progressive and growing credit union, we view the innovative technology provided by Open Solutions as an important tool that will allow us to be even more member-focused in our delivery and strongly competitive in the marketplace." A 25-person evaluation team reviewed six vendors before selecting OSI.

Separately, Open Solutions Inc.'s e-Solutions business unit, a provider of Internet banking and cash management solutions, announced 10 new contracts for its comprehensive cash management and Internet banking solution, e-Commerce Banker (e-CB).

Seven of the ten contracts are new clients, and three institutions already using the e-CB suite of products purchased add-on modules. Among the new contracts: First Bristol Federal Credit Union, Bristol, Conn.; Woods Credit Union, Oklahoma City, and Verity Credit Union, Seattle. "e-Commerce Banker, a secure and scalable Web banking solution, gives a financial institution's business and retail customers access to account information and transaction initiation 24 hours a day, seven days a week," the company said.

Dollar To Speak At AFTECH Event

MALVERN, Penn.-NCUA Chairman Dennis Dollar will give the keynote speech at the 2004 AFTECH Client Conference in Cancun, Mexico, May 5-9.

Separately, Bay Governmental Credit Union, a $51-million Michigan credit union with almost 8,000 members, has become AFTECH's newest technology partner.

The credit union, which recently changed to a community charter and will undergo a name change in the near future, chose AFTECH over several core processing vendors, according to AFTECH President Joseph A. Antellocy. In addition to the expanded Advantage standard software package, Bay Governmental opted for AFTECH's general ledger package, and Net Credit Report, AFTECH's innovative Internet-based credit reporting product.
