People First Moves To Aftech

ALLENTOWN, Penn.-People First FCU here has converted to the Advantage core processing system provided by AFTECH, a unit of Fiserv, Inc. Sue Phillips, People First's Manager of Information Systems and Technology, said the credit union reached a point where the service enhancements it needed were only available on the AFTECH Advantage system. Phillips says People First will be adding the Advantage lending platform, with Internet-based loans and credit reporting. The $220-million credit union serves 47,000 members.

Four CUs Select Fuze As Provider

BELLEVUE, Wash.-Fuze Digital Solutions, LLC, a software solutions provider, said several CUs have selected its eService suite, MemberLink, including the $180-million Matanuska Valley FCU, $285-million Patriot FCU, $385-million Watermark CU, $900-million Wright-Patt CU, and the $1-billion Washington State Employees CU. MemberLink provides credit unions and their members with immediate access to accurate and consistent information online about products, services and personal finance topics. "The customized knowledge base houses public and private information, and includes content and calculators maintained by Fuze," the company said.

30 CUs Sign Up For HomeCU

BOISE, Idaho-Database Management Services, Inc., said that approximately 30 credit unions contracted for the company's HomeCU Internet home banking service in the 4th quarter of 2003, bringing the number of CUs that converted to its system during 2003 to 64 and the overall number of HomeCU institutions to 250. During the past year, enhancements to the home banking product included a new Spanish-language version, and a live/online version. HomeCU integrates securely with 16 different data processing systems and includes e-statements, online member surveys, multiple levels of administrative security, and a domain-based hosting and e-mail server.

Move To Back-Up Center Complete

ORLANDO, Fla.-Worldwide Interactive Services, Inc. has completed the move of its voice, Internet, and wireless production environment to a "disaster proof" condominium. Otherwise known as a co-location facility, the company said the structure is a state-of-the-art building, which houses production equipment for companies in the Internet and telecommunications industry.

Fiserv EFT/CNS, CUSC Agree

BROOKFIELD, Wis.-Fiserv EFT/CNS, a unit of Fiserv, Inc. and Credit Union Service Corp. (CUSC), the nation's largest shared-branching network, have entered into an agreement that makes Fiserv the initial third-party processor to certify and be granted access to the CUSC Next Generation Network (NGN) switch. The NGN, designed by CUSC specifically for credit unions, helps reduce fraudulent account activity by creating broader messaging fields, and builds robust custom functionality and connections for trouble-free credit union access, the companies said. The agreement connects the transaction processing capability of Fiserv EFT/CNS with CUSC's more than 1,300 shared-branch-network service center and outlet locations throughout the U.S.

Fin. Tech Alliance Adds RG2 Sol.

SAN DIEGO-The Financial Technology Alliance, a multi-vendor technology resource for credit unions and banks, said that RG2 Solutions of Oklahoma City has become its latest member. RG2 Solutions offers credit unions a number of technology products, as well as custom programming and integration services. "There's no need for a credit union to maintain a full-time programming staff of even one person when their needs are really only part-time," says Financial Technology Alliance founder John San Filippo. "RG2 Solutions can fill that gap and save a credit union plenty in the process."

OSI, TPG Enter Into Alliance

GLASTONBURY, Conn..-Open Solutions Inc. has signed a reseller agreement with TPG Software, Inc. The agreement will allow Open Solutions to resell TPG's Portfolio Genius, an investment management and accounting software solution for assets and liabilities. Open Solutions will resell TPG's Portfolio Genius(c) through its fti/Financial Technologies (FTI) business unit.
