Teenager Jailed For Bomb-Threat CURobbery

PITTSFIELD, Mass. - (09/15/04) -- A 19-year-old man was sentencedMonday to up to 10 years in prison for last January's robbery atGreylock FCU when he told tellers he had a bomb. Harley Traverse,who was 18 at the time of the hold-up, pleaded guilty to armedrobbery, threat to commit murder and witness tampering for sendingthreatening letters from jail to two witnesses to the crime. DuringMonday's court session the prosecution read letters form threecredit union employees saying they felt fear and nervousness stillevery time an unrecognizable person walks into the creditunion.
