ST. PAUL, Minn. - (09/09/04 -- A 14-year-old girl was swiftlyconvicted Tuesday for last week's armed robbery at Teacher FCU inRoseville. The girl, who police would not identify, pleaded guiltyin juvenile to simple robbery. The teen entered the credit unionlast Friday afternoon and handed the teller a note demanding cashin $20 and $100 bills, and saying she had a gun. But she apparentlylost her nerve and ran off when the teller stepped away from thewindow to get the cash. She was arrested a short while later andtold police she did not really have a gun. She told police shewanted to rob the credit union because her account was empty. Sheis scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 21.
