PLANO, Texas - (01/24/06) DataTreasury Corp., a smallcheck-processing company, said Monday it settled another patentinfringement suit, this one with NCR Corp., concerning thecompanys patents on image capture, processing and storagetechnology used in numerous systems implementing the new Check 21law. Under the settlement, both DataTreasury and NCR will provideeach other with access to their patented payment technologies, andNCR will pay DataTreasury an undisclosed sum of money. DataTreasuryhas recently won settlements with financial giants JP Morgan Chase,Bank One, Groupe Ingenico, NetDeposit and RDM Corp., which requiresthose companies to license DataTreasurys patents. Thecompany also has patent infringement suits pending againstCitibank, Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Wachovia.
