TUCSON, Ariz. - (07/21/05) -- Family members and friends of thoseconnected with the 1903 train wreck that claimed 14 lives gatheredat the site of the fiery crash last month, now the location ofPyramid CU, for a memorial. A plaque commemorating the victims ofthe calamity was dedicated and encased in front of the creditunion. Two trains collided at the site in the early morning ofJanuary 28 of that year, killing at least 14 passengers andinjuring several others. Katie Dusenberry, a former Pima Countysupervisor whose father and grandfather survived the crash,attended the ceremony and reflected on the tragedy.
