Triton, a producer of off-premise ATMs, has entered into an agreement with Verizon Wireless to support a CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) option on Triton ATMs. The Verizon wireless option will be offered on new ATMs, coming from the factory fully configured and tested, and as an upgrade to more than 50,000 Triton ATMs installed across the United States that are using dial-up phone lines, the company said. The wireless option will also be offered to Triton customers currently running CDPD (Cellular Digital Packet Data), which is being phased out at the end of this year.
