TSYS Acquires Provider Of Prepaid CardSolutions

COLUMBUS, Ga. - (08/04/04) -- TSYS Prepaid, a unit of cardprocessor TSYS, said it has agreed to acquire Clarity PaymentSolutions, Inc., a New York provider of prepaid card solutions thatuse the MasterCard and Visa networks. TSYS Prepaid will combineClarity's line of products with it own to offer a comprehensiveprepaid platform. TSYS is a subsidiary of Synovus Financial Corp.,a Columbus bank holding company.
