A 15-year-old suspect and his 17-year-old accomplice were arrested by the Clay County Sheriff's and charged with the Jan. 17 kidnapping and robbery of a Jax Navy CU (now Vystar CU) member.

The two teenagers and a third accomplice still at large allegedly robbed the woman at gunpoint while she was using her credit union ATM, then took her to a nearby apartment where they forced her to reveal her PIN, Mary Justino, a spokesman for the Clay County Sheriff, told The Credit Union Journal. The assailants then tried the member's ATM card at 20 different machines and withdrew all available cash. Both suspects were already being held in the jail on separate charges.
