Visa Goes After Utility PaymentsMarket

SAN FRANCISCO - (11/15/04) Visa USA is launching an effort toexpand card acceptance for payment of residential utility bills.Visa will offer a reduced incentive fee structure, address consumerconvenience fee barriers, demonstrate how utility operationexpenses can be curbed through acceptance, and provide specializedsupport services. Residential utility payments represent a$177-billion opportunity for electronicpayments.
