Each New Year's Eve individuals resolve to lose weight, smell the roses and/or do the things they've always dreamed of.

Each New Year's, too, credit unions make similar resolutions to launch new products and services, employ new strategies and reexamine operations.

Honda FCU, for instance, is planning a state chartered subsidiary CU that would allow it to serve members working in foreign countries. Firstel Credit Union expects to see in 2002 a culmination of three years of effort to overhaul lending.
