Women's Leadership Summit
MADISON, Wis.-CUNA plans to host its first Women's Leadership Summit June 12-15 at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego. Prior to the opening session, participants will complete a self-assessment that will serve as the catalyst to explore 20 key areas that impact leadership, relationships, performance and well-being, CUNA said. The rest of the program will focus on developing individual leadership skills and ways to effectively lead change throughout their organizations.

Idaho Legislators Get Demo
BOISE, Idaho-More than half of Idaho's senators and representatives were present at a credit union-sponsored event where the National Child ID Program was introduced by Ed Smart, a nationally recognized advocate for child abduction prevention. The luncheon was part of the Idaho league's GAC. The National Child ID Program, which was created by the American Football Coaches Association in 1997, uses inkless fingerprint kits that allow parents to take and store a child's fingerprints in their own home.
Long-Time CU Volunteer Dies
JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-Clyde W. King, Sr., a long-time board member with Jax Metro CU has died. "He was one of the credit union's biggest advocates and worked to bring its services to all eligible employees," the credit union said. Mr. King opened his account with Jacksonville Utilities Employees CU in April of 1948, and began working as a field representative in 1957.
