'EZ Pass' For Sale At Branches
EWING, N.J.-The $208-million Credit Union of New Jersey has partnered with the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission to allow residents to purchase an "EZ Pass" at its branch. EZ Pass is an electronic transponder that allows commuters to pay tolls electronically without stopping their vehicles. After drivers provide the necessary information, the EZ Pass account is opened and the transponder is provided containing $25 in pre-paid tolls which can be used immediately.
Separately, the CU said it now offers its members more surcharge-free ATMs than area mega-banks after having joined the Allpoint Network. Members will have access to 32,000 ATMs, including 4,000 in the local area.
More Than 100 Vehicles Sold
PITTSBURGH-Clearview FCU said it sold 105 vehicles during its first-ever annual car sale. More than 700 members turned out for the event at the credit union's offices. CFCU was offering auto loan rates that were as low as 1.99% APR, and eight local dealerships had both new and used cars on display. The car sale also featured no-haggle pricing.
NASCUS Reaccredits Connecticut
ARLINGTON, Va.-NASCUS said that the Connecticut Department of Banking (DOB) has earned five-year reaccreditation. Connecticut was first accredited in 1990, and earned five-year re-accreditation in both 1995 and 2000. It is also one of the first five states to become NASCUS accredited, and the second to be accredited four times.
RCU Rolls Out Business Services
SANTA ROSA, Calif.-Redwood Credit Union has introduced a full line of small business loans, including vehicle, credit cards, commercial real estate, lines of credit and term loans as part of the Credit Union's Business Plus Financial Services program, designed especially for small business owners.
