A guide to housing programs for Indians.

SEATTLE - The Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle released a comprehensive guide on housing programs for American Indians and the indigenous people of Alaska and Hawaii that could help lenders' strengthen their Community Reinvestment Act compliance.

"As a regional wholesale bank serving housing lenders, we want to ensure that our customers have the necessary tools to serve all of the citizens in their communities," said James R. Faulstich, president and chief executive officer of the bank. "This resource guide is an informational tool to help enable lenders to prudently fund mortgages on native lands and to strengthen their CRA performance in these communities."

The guide is called "Bringing Private Resources to Native Lands."
