AirTran Holdings Inc. has agreed to test Acculynk Inc.'s PIN debit payments service for online purchases of tickets for flights on its AirTran Airways.
Acculynk said the airline is the third company to test its PaySecure Internet technology, which enables people to use their debit cards online by entering their PIN through an on-screen keypad display.
Acculynk, which announced the agreement last week, is also testing PaySecure with the debit networks operated by Metavante Technologies Inc.'s NYCE unit, Fiserv Inc.'s Accel/Exchange unit and Discover Financial Services' Pulse unit.
