Advisory Firm Taps Hammond To Be CEO of Securities Arm

PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York has hired Michael Hammond to be president and chief executive officer of PricewaterhouseCoopers Securities LLC.

He succeeds Lior Samuelson, who has left the company.

Mr. Hammond, 49, was a founding principal of Shattuck Hammond Partners, an investment bank serving health-care services companies. Earlier he was a director and manager of the health-care finance group at Salomon Brothers Inc. Before that he was a vice president and manager of the health-care group at Morgan Stanley.

PricewaterhouseCoopers Securities is the organization's investment banking arm.
