Alaska CU Expands California Presence

Alaska USA Federal Credit Union, which has been building a presence in California for two years, is opening all seven of its branches in the Golden State to shared branching through the CU Service Centers Network.

"We recognized that our branch locations are also convenient for members of other credit unions and they have the capacity to serve these members," said Bill Eckhardt, the president of the $4.3 billion-asset credit union, in a press release Monday.

Members of participating credit unions can use the branches for deposits, withdrawals, inquiries and loan payments, among other services, the credit union said.
