Amalgamated Bank Names Executives

Amalgamated Bank of Chicago elected Ronald M. Willis and Gerald M. Sullivan to its board, bringing the number of directors to 16.

Mr. Willis is manager of the Chicago and Central States Joint Board of the Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union. He is responsible for negotiating and administering collective bargaining agreements, supervising the organization of new members, and administering the joint board's day- to-day activities.

Mr. Sullivan is business manager of the Chicago Journey Men Plumbers' Local Union 130, which represents 5,000 union plumbers in the Chicago area.

The bank also promoted to executive vice president David E. Knopp, who is responsible for all lending functions, and James T. Landenberger, trust officer.

Barbara A. Lumpkin was promoted to senior vice president, corporate trust manager, corporate trust department, and Joseph P. Mathes was promoted to vice president and manager, business services.

William P. Ware has joined Amalgamated as a vice president. He had worked at American.
