American Savings Names Executive

American Savings Bank, Irvine, Calif., appointed two executive vice presidents.

John D. Broderick was named executive vice president and director of retail banking at American Savings Bank.

Brad Henske was appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Both Mr. Broderick and Mr. Henske will begin work on Jan. 3 at the bank's administrative headquarters in Irvine.

Mr. Broderick will oversee American's 159-branch retail network, as well as retail banking operations, services, planning, administration, and training, as well as ASB Financial Service, American's investment subsidiary.

Most recently, Mr. Broderick was chairman and chief executive of ITT Residential Capital Corp., San Francisco, a subsidiary of ITT Corp., New York, where he built a profitable $8 billion consumer lending portfolio.

Mr. Henske previously was a partner with Bain & Co., Chicago and Boston, where he had worked since 1988.
