Annapolis National Names Executives

MIDDLE ATLANTIC

Annapolis National Bancorp in Maryland has hired Mark H. Anders as president and chief executive officer of its Annapolis Bank.

He succeeded Richard M. Lerner, the holding company's chairman, who had been interim president and CEO of the $133 million-asset bank since May.

Mr. Anders, 45, was president and chief executive officer of Baltimore-based Sterling Bancorp and its Sterling Bank and Trust Co., which Towson-based Bank of Maryland bought in January.

Earlier he was Bank of Maryland's senior credit officer and a senior vice president. He began his career in 1977 at the former American Security Bank in Washington.
