AT&T Inc. has agreed to use Fiserv Inc.'s CheckFree payment system to deliver electronic bills for its mobile phone customers to banks' online bill-pay sites.
The telephone carrier has used CheckFree's service in other units for several years. It said it began offering e-bills to its wireless customers in response to demand.
"Customers today are demanding choice and convenience in how they view and pay their bills online," Brian Daly, the director of AT&T's Mobility business line, said in a Fiserv press release Thursday.
