Atlantic Bank Names Executive

Atlantic Bank, a start-up bank in Linwood, N.J., has hired Guy Deninger as chief loan officer and a senior vice president.

Mr. Deninger was senior vice president and senior loan officer of Farmers and Merchants Bank in Bridgeton, N.J.

Earlier he headed the Atlantic County, N.J., operations for Chemical Bank of New Jersey and, still earlier, for Covenant Bank in Haddonfield, N.J. Chemical merged with Chase Manhattan in 1996; First Union bought Covenant in 1998.

Atlantic Bank, which has extended its stock offering to May 1, was organized by Michael D. Devlin, the former president and chief executive officer of Premium Bank, a thrift in Gibbsboro, N.J.

TeleBanc Financial Corp. in Arlington, Va., bought Premium's holding company, Direct Financial Corp., last August.
