AurionPro, IP Commerce Team on Biz Payments Venture

A joint venture between AurionPro Solutions and IP Commerce will power up new markets and channels for payment-enabled applications built for small- and medium-sized businesses looking for e-commerce transaction solutions.

AurionPro will oversee product management and support services for the JV – dubbed PriorityCommerce – which builds on applications already development for the IP Commerce platform. IP Commerce has built payment tools that enable payments from desktop software used by smaller firms, including applications that handle merchant credit-card processing. IP Commerce has spearheaded a software-as-a-service platform, the PASS Commerce Center, that includes PayPal and Microsoft to deliver card processing, billpay, invoicing, electronic data interchange and remote deposit services for businesses running on Microsoft’s Vista Business OS.

AurionPro brings along a “global product development network that can rapidly respond to changing market needs for commerce solutions,” said Chip Kahn, IP Commerce CEO, in a statement. “With this partnership we are essentially gaining a highly skilled product development group that will enable IP Commerce to focus additional resources on market and channel development.”

The JV’s initial focus will be on marketing PASS as well as ReceivePay, a QuickBooks  credit-card processing add-in.
