Banc One Corp. is adding level-load pricing to some of its proprietary mutual funds.
Pending approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Columbus, Ohio-based bank plans to offer level loads on 18 of its One Group Funds.
Investors in these funds would then be able to pay 1% of assets annually, plus a 1% service fee.
Level loads are popular with investors who are averse to paying sales fees up-front or when they cash out. However, over time, they can end up costing investors more.
