BancFirst Names Exec For Southern Oklahoma

BancFirst Corp. in Oklahoma City has named the chief executive of a company it bought this month as regional executive for southern Oklahoma and an executive vice president.

Terrence Cooksey was also president of the company, Amquest Financial Corp., which was based in Duncan, Okla.

Also, Amquest's local presidents in some towns-Wilson Roberts in Ardmore, Paul Pearce in Duncan, Jeff McLemore in Marietta, and Jerry Barnthouse in Lawton-will keep those titles.

BancFirst had a local president in only one of those towns- Melvin McGuffin in Lawton. He was promoted to Lawton chairman.

Mr. McGuffin had been president of Security Bank and Trust of Lawton, which BancFirst bought in May.

BancFirst also has southern Oklahoma branches in Marlow and Anadarko.

Amquest's chairman, Tom H. McCasland Jr., and its vice chairman, John C. Hugon, were elected directors of $2.1 billion-asset BancFirst.
