Bank of America Names Garvey As Executive Vice President

Christine N. Garvey, head of Bank of America's corporate real estate division, has been promoted to executive vice president.

One of 25 group executive vice presidents, she reports to Michael Rossi, vice chairman of the San Francisco-based bank.

BankAmerica Corp. has facilities in 41 states and 42 countries. The 3,300 properties Ms. Garvey manages around the world have 38.5 million square feet of space and are valued at almost $7 billion.

Her responsibilities include managing and operating the portfolio, leasing and purchasing property, construction and renovation, and disposal of surplus or developing property to produce income.

Ms. Garvey came to Bank of America in 1991 from Wells Fargo Bank, where she was a senior vice president and manager of the corporate real estate department. Before that she was vice president and manager of leasing and acquisition for First Interstate Bank of California.
