Bank of Boston Corp. Names Executive

NEW ENGLAND

Bank of Boston Corp. has named Torrance Childs as manager of consumer and small-business banking for the southern region of Massachusetts.

Mr. Childs, who joined the bank in 1991, was the director of retail and small-business development at Bank of Boston's First Community Bank.

In addition, Bank of Boston hired Liam G. Stokes and Joseph E. Williams as directors of structured derivatives.

Mr. Stokes was a vice president of derivatives sales and trading in the municipal bond department at J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. Mr. Williams was manager of financial institutions and global derivatives products at First Chicago NBD Corp.
