Bank of New York has named Burton M. Siegel senior vice president and head of its personal asset management division.

He was director of research and head of the core equity money management group at Weiss Peck & Greer, where he was a partner.

At Bank of New York Mr. Siegel will manage more than $10 billion in investments, including the bank's personal trust assets and customers with high net worth. He will also be a member of the bank's investment policy committee.
