Bank of the West Names Executives

Bank of the West in San Francisco has promoted Fran Lopez, the manager of the community banking administration at its Walnut Creek, Calif., branch, and four other employees there.

Ms. Lopez was promoted from vice president to senior vice president. She joined the bank in 1994 after working 18 years at Citibank including five as a branch manager of various East Bay offices in California and 11 in the finance department in New York.

The other promotions -- of John K. Lord, James Barron, Jennifer Ho, and Kevin E. Ralph were to vice presidential rank, from assistant vice president.

Mr. Lord is asset recovery manager in the consumer collections department. He joined the bank in 1988.

Mr. Barron manages the loan production center. He was hired in 1990.

Ms. Ho is a foreign exchange officer in the treasury department. She joined the bank in 1983.

Mr. Ralph, a marketing representative in equipment leasing, joined the bank last year. Earlier he was a territory representative and regional sales manager at Farm Credit Leasing in Sacramento.
