Big banks C&I loans fell early in month.

NEW YORK - Commercial and industrial loans on the books of the nation's large banks fell $1.76 billion in the week ended Dec. 8.

That compared with a gain of $972 billion in the previous week. The figures exclude bankers acceptances and commercial paper.
