Boston Private Bank and Trust Names New Chief Financial Officer

Boston Private Bank and Trust has named a new chief financial officer as part of its continued expansion.

Albert Reitheimer, appointed senior vice president and chief financial officer, joined the eight-year-old private banking and investment services company from NFS Financial Corp, Nashua, N.H., where he held a similar post.

NFS, a thrift holding company, was acquired by BayBanks Inc. in June.

He succeeds Mark Panella, who left for personal reasons, Boston Private Bank said.

Boston Private has lines of business in investment management and trust, commercial lending, residential mortgage lending, and personal banking. It has more than 4,000 clients with nearly $500 million in assets.
