Capital Briefs: Later Deadline for Mortgage Rule Comment

The Federal Reserve Board on Thursday extended to March 9 the deadline for banks to recommend how the agency should streamline mortgage disclosure rules.

The central bank said it was particularly interested in comments on the timing, content, and reliability of disclosures found in the Real Estate Settlement Procedures and Truth-in-Lending acts.
