Capital Briefs: Top OCC Supervisor of Derivatives Resigns

Douglas E. Harris, senior deputy comptroller for capital markets, announced Tuesday that he is leaving the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.

Mr. Harris, whose resignation is effective June 21, does not have another job lined up. "I'm still exploring my options," said Mr. Harris, who supervised derivatives, emerging markets, and other trading activities at national banks.

Before joining the OCC in July 1993, Mr. Harris was managing director and assistant general counsel at J.P. Morgan Futures Inc.

A replacement has not been named.
