Card Briefs: DataCard Names VP For World Service Unit

DataCard Corp. said it has appointed Thomas L. Schlick vice president of its world service group.

The responsibilities include North American field operations and depot services, and on a global basis education services, technical support, quality systems, marketing, and new-business development, with an emphasis on quality and performance measures.

"Our service group has performed extremely well over the past several years, in terms of both customer satisfaction and profitability," said Glenn Highland, president and chief executive officer of the privately held card personalization company. "We are aggressively expanding our channel distribution strategies, which will present a variety of new service requirements. Tom's expertise will be tremendously valuable as we tackle those new challenges."

Before joining DataCard, Mr. Schlick was vice president of the service and support division of Fisher-Rosemount Inc., which produced more than $90 million in service-related revenue for 1997.
