Shoppers Charge Accounts Co., the nation's 12th largest private-label credit card company, is now marketing a consumer payment protection plan.

The firm is a division of the Hudson United Bank subsidiary of Hubco, the $1.7 billion-asset New Jersey bank company.

The company said the plan cost customers pennies per hundred dollars of coverage.
