Card Briefs: Most Network's Transactions Up 18% Last Year

Internet Inc., owner and operator of the Most electronic banking network, reported a record-breaking 1995.

The network carried 210.3 million transactions last year, up 17.6% from 1994.

Automated teller machine transactions grew 9%, to 154.2 million, while point of sale volume increased 50%. Most's point of sale volume ended the year at 55 million transactions and contributed 26% of the total transaction volume running through the switch.

In addition to record transaction volume, the Most network continued to expand its membership in 1995, with 60 new financial institution members from 13 states and the District of Columbia. The network currently has 8,500 participating ATMs.
