Carrollton Bank said it will install more than 100 automated teller machines by yearend 1999, doubling the size of its network.

Most will be placed in Wal-Mart and Target discount stores.

The bank, with $300 million of assets and 105 ATMs, will install the machines at new stores in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Gary Jewell, senior vice president, said the bank has shown its ability to meet the demands of larger discount retailers. "We have presented an ATM network that works and complements their ideas of delivery of customer service," he said.
